Arisaka Bayonet with scabard and frog

    Hi all,
I have a nice Arisakaicon bayonet with the scabard and frog. The blade is in good condition. It's so bright it almost looks chromed. It has the mum intact. My uncle, who was a WWII merchant sailor, gave it to me when I was a kid. Don't know how he came to own it. He also gave me a Carcano cavalry carbine. I came across a few clips and some ammo and shot it a bit. It gave me minute of broad side of the barn accuracy so I stuck it in the back of the safe. Handy little thing. Shame I can't get it to shoot. But anyway back the the bayonet. Is there much collector intrest in these things and if so, approx how much are they bringing?
    Thanks,
    Steve

    arisaka bayonet value

    Steve,

Interest in Arisakaicon bayonets over the last handful of years has increased along with the value. A number of things will dictate that value such as maker, style, and if it was sharpened or not. Having the scabbard and frog is a plus especially if there are no dents in the scabbard and if the frog is still soft with a good strap and buckle. Go on line and search Arisaka bayonets. Get familiar with the manufactures codes that are marked on the bayonets. Learn which were the rare variants as they will command a higher value. You may find that instead of a $75 rig you have something closer to a $175 one. Good luck, I'am sure you'll find it interesting.
