A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Well! You certainly have my attention!

I have been searching for a decent photograph of one of these for a long time. I have had a pic sent to me before, but the eyecup wasn't in anywhere near that condition. Tell me, do you have the eyecup or only a pic?

    God Day,
Now the $64K question, what are the chances of having some made? From the many posts here and on other forums, the proper eyepiece cover is missing on 99% of the scopes. Here is a good opportunity to sell a quality repo one to the community if a solid pattern can be found.
Any chance that one might be on the horizon?

Getting a rubber or neoprene replica made should be as simple as falling off a log. Similar things, reproduced for the repro mororcycle industry are being made cheaply every day of the year. Norton, Villiers, BSA......... All of the foot rests, grips etc etc are being churned out. They'd look at those, have a wood former made and have then churned out within days.

Similar items are being made for wartime Germanicon binos as we speak

I should have come back and edited that statement, mate! I went digging through my pics and found yours- I had forgotten about it, sorry!

Now all we need to find is someone with the resources to make these things...
