    Nagoya Last Ditch Rifle-

    Guys,
As promised, here is my Japaneseicon Last Ditch Rifle.

As you can see, it has a nice two pc stock on it. The buttplate is wood:

The sling in all the photos is a repo that I purchased from IMA I believe.
It does have a cool rack marking on the stock:

Here is the SN of the rifle in question:

To complete the ensemble, I added a nice "rough" looking bayonet:

The Mum has been "lightly" defaced with a deep scratch. Perhaps a bayonet and a hammer blow?

The back of the bolt has a rough weld mark...

The rear sight is pretty simple:

I really can't make out the series of this rifle....
The bayonet is a Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho (Toyoda Automatic Loom Works) under Nagoya supervision. I don't have a scabbard for the bayo.

Very nice! And to think I just sold the nice one! Oh well, at least I still have the 'mystery' one..I'll have some pics of that hopefully soon.

Speaking of the series mark, both of mine had/have the same one, but I'll be darned if I could find a match to it in any of the references.

    Anzac,
My collection is a black hole! Things go in... and never come out!
Ya, I wish I could get a better photo/ view of that series! I have looked but can't make out what the stamp is supposed to be!
What do ya'all think of the finish of the rifle? If the rack number is original, then the finish is original....
