Some of the ones that went to Sierra Leone of course did end up in the hands of the notorious West Side Boys (but we did go and get them back......)

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Thousands of kits (everything but the receiver) were sold in the US. Most were like new.
At that time Lithgowicon receivers were available and I built up several.

That information has been around a long time.

More interesting is who was sniffing around another batch located in the Netherlands not so long ago.......

The wholesale prices on these also make interesting reading for those spending almost £2K on the finished straight pull.

Are you trying to spoil yet another thread about the ACR SLR?

The price of a (probably) non Firearms Act 1968 compliant rifle somewhere in Europe has little to do with the price of a S. 1 compliant rifle in the UKicon.

I paid £1,899 for my L1A1, same as everyone else. Gavin didn't put a gun (pardon pun) to my head and make me buy it, I did so of my own free will, same as everyone else that bought one.

I love my SLR, and to me it was worth every penny, and I haven't heard a bad word against them from anyone else that has bought one. For me it means I have a little bit of history in my gun cabinet, and thanks to Gavin as that wouldn't have been possible without his efforts.

The only person I know of that isn't happy is you, you had the chance to buy one but it all went wrong. I'm very sorry for you, but you have to live with that, so please do not continue to bring your negativity here every time someone mentions the words "ACR straight pull SLR"

David - not really sure what has offended your sensibilities this time....

Are you disputing that the Falkland islands info has been around for a long time? Are you saying that ACR didn't make a profit?

If you're happy - great, if ACR make money - great.

And what is your issue with the thread getting lockd? I started the thread in the first place.
