Interesting Items
These have just been placed on the market here. Advertised as genuine WW2. Have asked if any labels are still visible on the Carbine Bag wrapping but seller says no. I always get interested when I see stuff like this. Again, opinions welcomed. Mike.

Mike,
If you open the zipper case package I would be interested to know the maker.
Thanks,
Jim

Here's a picture showing some WWII ammo on the left, Korean era center, and Vietnam on the right. Notice the LC plant name changes. I believe the first change came about '52 and the last in '64. The weathered looking box center left is headstamped "LC 4" and the Kings Mills box is "PC 43" (Peters Cartridge). The other WWII boxes are still sealed so I don't know the dates, but probably '43 or '44. Evansville must have repacked a bunch of this stuff in 9-44. The Kings Mills is harder to find and is the only thing I have other than the LC. I shot several boxes of the LC 53 and LC 71 (on the right) and it worked fine - been hanging on to the WWII stuff in case the value increases. - Bob

Here's a box of Winchester Ammo from 1943. It's the only period WWII ammo I've seen that actually spells out "Winchester." Anyone else have something similar? It displays nicely with Winchester carbines.
