    Mosin Nagant M91/30

First time posting here. I just picked up a Mosin Nagant M91/30 and need to clean her up before heading out to the range. Looking for ideas on what sizes of bore cleaner and brushes to pickup. Thanks for any information thrown my way.

A normal .30 cal brush worked fine for me. The intended kit for those rifles work great too when using a cloth patch.

Thanks I live out in the middle of nowhere and cann't locate the correct cleaning kit. A .30 cal kit will be a lot easier to pickup.

Careful if you decide to take the bolt appart, should you not have the issued tool to put it back together you'll have a hard time making the firing pin protrusion right.

I thought the bolt was rather easy, check youtube and you will find all the info you need. Just be sure to check the firing pin with the gage provided. If you use suplus ammo make sure to clean the rifle after you use it.

I understand where you guys are coming from when you say you'd be sorry to sell your Mosin on some terms, but not others.. here in California they sell those things like Hot Cakes! They (they being gun suppliers/sporting good stores/civilians) Beg to get rid of them.. im not too sure about where the rest of you are from, but here even my Hex-Reciever, 1939 Russianicon only got appraised for 75-100$ This one has the CLEAREST and cleanest engravings out of 90% of the others i have seen on the internet. It also has a relativly Low serial number (all matching). I do love it.. fun, reliable, cheap gun to own/operate..
