Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Not listed, but there are some RIA/SA hybrids close by. Is your receiver marked Rock Island Arsenal or Springfield Armory?

The rifle is on GB. It is US Springfield. Nothing really special....3-29 Sa barrel date looks to match the SN. Keystone C stock, BF 35 bolt. Looks nice and clean..very good bore and MW. Started at $750.

The receiver was one of those that came from Rock Island Arsenal - either as a rough forging or as a finished (but unmarked) receiver blank. I have #1293257 (12-28 SA barrel) and it is marked "Rock Island Arsenal".
