Info on my Type 99 Arisaka please :)

    Hello,

I recently got a Type 99 Arisakaicon (I had another post about it on here) and I wanted to see what you all think about it and see if you can tell me what is missing. I want to try to make it complete but I need to know what is missing first.

First, what I know about the rifle:
    Type 99 Arisaka (mum removed)
    Shoots 7.7 Jap ammo
    Kokura Series 21
As far as I can tell, it is all original

    What I know is missing:
The flipout bars for the anti-air sights are missing
    The bayonet is missing
    The monopod is missing
There is no cleaning rod (but on the stock were the hole should be, there was no hold drilled for it)
There is no dust cover for the action

Now, here are the pictures. If you all do not mind, I would really appreciate it if you all could help me, thanks!

    Thanks for any help,

    Robert

I have inspected three series 21 with 5 digit serial numbers and they were all complete with the exception of dust covers and monopod. It is odd that yours don't have a cleaning rod hole. Some of the later serial numbers had the short 4.5" screw in cleaning rods.

I have a 99 that is not drilled for the rod. The rod was released with a small square button on the underside of the forearm. The one I have uses a single screw going thru the metal tip.( your pic shows the screws out. The back screw used two screws instead of one long one if it had a cleaning rod.
