The rifle is potentially sub-MOA, but I'm not. 5 of the last 7 shots were in one hole, but the other two...

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Patrick,
yeah mine was a bit like that and using iron sights doesn't allow as fine a sight alignment as does a scope. My groups where similar, a few 3 rd groups measured 10-13 mm and then one or two flyers knocked them out to 40-60mm. They certainly have a great accuracy potential. Thats probably why Captain Shore took his p14 to europe with him in WW2, blokes realized how good and accurate they where and couldn't part with them.

    Chuck,
Thanks for the ammunition lesson but I do know the rules and i possibly did not explain myself quite clearly enough.
The Target rifle discipline come under the NRAA rules who in turn follow the ICFRA rules. the only calibres allowed are 308 or 7.62x51 or 223 rem or 5.56x45. I know being a yank there may be some niaevity as to what Target rifle shooting is in the commonwealth. It's not high-power rifle shooting ( which i have shot) but the palma match is a part of the commonwealth discipline. So thanks again for telling me something I all ready knew.
I was trying to join in the conversation by putting an Australianicon slant to it but it wasn't obviously appreciated.

    Sorry and cheers'
    Ned

iv been talking with and dealing with people from all over the world, Japanicon, Franceicon, Italyicon, Russiaicon, ect...the toughest ones to figure out the a language program is Spain and Russia...
have a couple good buddies from South Africa...there humor is a little off key compared to mine...but we get it worked out...
learned to not read or take things the same way as i would here in the states, and have an open mind...it was hard to set my American Ego asside..but not so hard anymore.
not so much with my gun world, but more so with my Moto Trials addiction... the only guys i have a hard time dealing with are from China.. noticed that the males in China are very racest, and down grade women...just not my way of thinking..iv unfriended a few Chinese trials riders on Facebook...
