On the commercial market, over the years, many have grinded the M14 icon

sear down to the M1 dimensions.

No. As I understand all the automatic parts for the M14 are not controlled. The reason is there is a downward piece with an installation hole on auto receivers. Because the commerciial M1A icon

receivers do not have that piece, none of the M14 auto parts will convert.

It would appear that SA had more than one type of sear design during the pre war period.
Note the "hump" on this sear installed on a revision 2 trigger. Most of the rev 2 triggers are without the hump on the sear.
