1903A4 scant grip stocks

Several years ago I bought a couple of scant grip 1903 stocks that were purported to be 1903A4 stocks - one is used and shows wear in the cutoff area and has been drilled for the front barrel band and shows handling wear. The other one apparently wasn't ever put on a rifle - it wasn't drilled for the front barrel band and shows only handling dings and what not. Both have the K stamp in the cutoff area, and both show the milled out area in the bolt cut-out.

My question is - are these stocks real?

first one...no.
second one, yes,. notice the double mill cut. and the rear angle of the sweep.. as compared to the first.

Here they both are next to eah other.

They both look the same except that the used one doesn't show the clarity that the unissued one does - my photographic skills are rather crappy, but if the second one is genuine then the first one is also. A careful look in the upper left of the cut out will show the double mill cut on the issued stock - it's shadowed on the upper right.

Anyhoo, if anyone wants better pictures I'll try harder.

Also, the used stock shows some striped figuring!
