The buttplates shipped today, so I should get them Saturday, or maybe Monday. I'm still a little nervous as to why no one else bid on them. They both looked OK to me. I don't think you guys can actually see how high my bid was - I didn't really think I was going to win it. This isn't the first favor that "Charlie Guy" has done for me! I hope I can pay back the favor somehow - maybe help him find something that he's looking for. - Bob

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. The buttplates showed up early - last Thursday. I got stressed over getting ready for a gun show and didn't take a close look at them for a couple of days. The IP was deformed a bit, so I did some careful straightening on it. I don't think it has 50% finish as claimed, but looks about right for my gun. What is "original" finish on one of these, anyway? The NPM is good and straight, but has been reparked over some wear and pits. Both had been removed with a screwdriver tip that was too wide. They're good enough for me, though - Bob
