I remember that day very well too. As far as pic posting goes I just save them on "my pics" on my computer, write your new post on reply to thread, or new thread, click on the black paper clip depicted at the top of the page, upload photos and click DONE, works well but doesn't seem to work on the quick reply option. No need for photobucket this way. Took me about two years to figure all that out though. Mike.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. I rememebr it too Mike, and laughed my rear end off!!!

Heck, I tried to make directions for adding photos here as easy as I could by laboriously capturing each and every step. I made a picture of each computer screen you would see so you could just look at the pictures and not have to read any technical jargon.
    (Did anyone use them?)

I even took the pictures I made and added arrows to show exactly where to 'CLICK'

This is the method for uploading pictures that you have stored on your computer. (It's the type that creates the small 'thumbnail' under your post) -

How do I upload pictures to my posts for storage on milsurps.com?

This is the method for showing a photo you have stored in Photobucket or any of the other picture hosting sites -

How do I show pics from Photobucket, Flickr, ImageShack etc. on milsurps.com?

I also made .pdf documents of each method. (A .pdf opens with Adobe Acrobat) This one below is the step-by-step for uploading photos from your computer. Give it a few seconds, and once it opens it's formatted so you can also just print it out - thiat way you can keep each step right beside you computer while learning how to upload. The .pdf pages look just like the computer screens will as you go through the steps -

This is the same type of .pdf document, and it shows how to use photos you have stored in Photobucket and put them in your posts -
