Almost have made the commitment to get one...But a .22rf FG42 would be a "must have"! Overtime went away about when the semi-auto centerfire FG42s were due for release, so that never panned out.

Great looking gun however I am afraid the chance of it ever being available in Canadaicon are "slim and fat". This will be prohibited faster than you can say Jack Robinson.....
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

That's not likely at all. It's not a "variant" of any named prohibited firearm, unlike the ridiculous determination that the Mounties applied to the GSG-5.

Remember, there are already semi-auto replicas of the Stg-44 in Canada in 7.92x33. They're restricted, but only due to barrel length.

Anything more on these? I see from the ATI website that they are out of stock. Is anyone bringing them into Canadaicon? I could see getting a group together and bringing in a few--one import with several firearms would save on the import fees.

Walked in to the local gun shop Saturday...just looking...no money for toys...I now own a STG-44

Nice gun! Mostly all metal (over 9 lb's). Looks well made and most all of the external details match the real ones.

I waved it under jmoore's nose yesterday after lunch. He seems to have liked it.
