    My take on the M16A2

I decided before the end of last year that I wanted to approximate the rifle I was issued during my time in the Marine Corps. So I ordered an A2 upper from Model 1 Sales with a 20 inch government profile chrome lined barrel and I added a spare BCG and charging handle I had laying around. Then I went to Wally World and found that they were selling AR's again and they had a new Sig M400 Hunter with an A2 stock and a flat top upper. So I bought it, brought it home and here she is.
I've got her zeroed for 100 yards right now, and shes more accurate thhan I am.

Nice. Is that sling mount part of the Sig lower or an add-on piece?

I've never had a 20" AR, but one day.........

its part of the lower receiver. Sig also added a tensioning spring to the lower right under the rear lug of the upper. There is NO play at all between the two halves, you actually have to push the upper and lower together to get the raer take down pin out its so tight.

Along similar lines, here's my take on the Canadian C7A1 (basically an M16A3).

Started as a CMMG AR15A3, 1:7 CL gov't profile bbl. Added a Colt buttstock, Colt Canadaicon handguards and grip, Diemaco tri-rail, Diemaco ambi latch, diemaco ambi mag release, diemaco ambi selector, CF issue sling, Elcan C79A1 optic and Diemaco BUIS.
