    Smith-corona subcontractors

I see a lot of parts for S.C. A-3s that are supposedly "correct" for these guns but that are not marked with the "x", but have other markings such as cc, J, U, etc. Specifically, I have an extractor marked "CC" and an ejector marked "U" ( or maybe "J", hard to tell). Are these correct or after-market or post-war or did I waste my money again?
    Thanks much.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. I too would like the community to chime in with some information in this area!!!

I have reviewed my (4 )03A3 book references, with very little luck.

I understand that "G" marked bolt parts are Smith Corona, but I don't have any thing other than Internet auction posts to go by???

    Thanks in advance for responding!

Good info indeed! Thanks Chuck, I'll save these for future reference. BTW, is there a master list somewhere of all subcontractor codes? It would be of tremendous help, I'm sure. Be a good article to write, if not one already?
