Don't you love the power and people helping in a global internet, and just under our fingers. Thanks Steve, I (we) agree in California USAicon don't have the luxury of many things as far as 2nd Amendment as the rest of U.S. and let alone Mark 7 bull Lee Enfield ammo. I have to play with the cards that I have. Overall, I am very happy with the Lee great historical weapon. What I found (learned) out is that Rifle is fine, and I need to adjust to the rifle and not the other way around or tenker with it. I will post an update as soon as I get the shooting range with different sight hold by moving around the clock a joke! (12"Oclock) the barrel is moving up maybe so little at 100Y, that could resolve all the issues with shooting low, of course having a correct ammo is essential but as far as I am concerned, I like to be confident of the POI is fairly close as my point of aim. In the future the chance that I would need a smaller front sight base is high. For time being I am good. Again, thanks to all your participation and advice.

    regards, to UKicon from US
    Armen.

The CD that is being offered, The 2012 Complete Book on Lee-Enfield Accurizing is beyond a worthwhile investment. Spend the $30 and get it. I did and have read about half over the past couple of days - WOW!! You'll love it simply for the information on how and why the Enfield is such a great rifle. And will most likely answer your question of why it is shooting low. I figuredout why mine was shooting left with a slight stringing of rounds - I am off to the range the first of the week to see if I fixed it.

    Be well Brother

    Steve

Thats a very interesting comment Olskool, probably the best I have ever found on this forum, but I didn't quite get your tone.
    Was it 'stony'?

Do you mind me asking how you shot that group? Did you fire a shot then check the bullet placement with a spotting scope, then fire the next etc?

I ask because the holes are walking round in a circle and look like each shot was aimed at the last hole, and not at the centre (or same place on the target each time) of the target.

Hi David , Thanks for the comment, but I am ways to go for calling shots like that maybe never. Interesting point, i don't know if even Sgt York could call shots like that with scope and correct ammo. maybe not! Hopefully sooner than latter! In reply to your question, i just numbered the impacts to ID the shots due to having more than one caliber being used. Back to the original topic of sighting at 100Y. To rank one to say five, you may add to that if need be (1) being the sharpshooter, say with iron sights. What would be acceptable grouping at one MOA @ 100Y is one inch. I don't know if that is even possible, but for the joy and participation of the folks in this thread and so going down the field.
