BESA belts were mostly metal clips with fabric stripping. You will find them from 100 rounds and up.

Can I assume that you haven't got a BESA then?

    I've still got two Peter!
Yup, I finally joined up here after lurking for a while. Some one made me a offer I couldn't refuse for the Mk II star that had been fitted with some Mk II bits so I let that go.

I've decided just to collect what we used postwar so all the Vickers Berthier LMGs have gone as well.

    Welcome aboard Tom.
By the way, for others here...Tom has amassed a HUGE pile of info on the BESA and Vickers Berthier.
He also wears a red FEZ at Beltring and is easy to spot !!!! :-)##
Also, always up for a "cuppa tea".
