Some were direct DSC purchase guns and will have no Govt. inspection marks. I have three Commandos, all three marked differently. My 20xxx range gun has an Ordnance bomb marking on the upper left frame, my 39xxx range gun only has "P" proof marks on the upper left frame, back of the cylinder and underside of the barrel and my 47xxx range gun has nothing but the Colt factory markings. I'm still looking for a GHD inspected gun. What is your serial number range?

I believe your gun was made in 1944. It is not far from my late numbered gun and was probably a direct DSC purchase

I have a phosphated Colt 20686. Just a flaming bomb but seems to have been in Britishicon service as it is UK Ordnance marked. Any ideas as to the year or anything else I should know

Pictures or description of the markings? Does it have the Britishicon broad-arrow property mark? Military acceptance marks?

Both my 4" Commando # 135xx, and my 2" # 102xx have just the ordnance ball stamp.

Nice plane in your logo kikokat - Mustang? Can we see a bigger picture? Are the brown plastic grips the original wartime fitting as mine has wood that might be aftermarket
