    Postwar No 4 Mk1 (T)s

Have a 1945 BSA (H+H) with a 1946 AK+S scope. All serial nos., stampings ,etc. seem as they should be. Any info appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have the cash to get into the sniper game, but beyond that I'm not sure what your asking. It's sunny and warm here with a projected hight of about 32 deg. C. And Canadaicon captured three medals in Olympic competition yesterday.

I have Scope #28594, 1946 dated on a '45 BSA in the X34xxx s/n range. Yours like this example is one of the last assembled at H&H congrat's. Besides this unfortunately there is nothing special about them. Be warned on the AKS scope, if the dials are stiff do not force them as this will case big damage inside. There is nothing mechanically wrong, just the grease inside has dried out and will have to be professionally removed and replaced.

    Have fun with her.

Lance is right on the damage if stiff turrets are rotated. I've had them in with the lead screw twisted right off. DO NOT use a hair drier in an attempt to loosen them up. The turrets must be stripped, cleaned, polished and lubed. Drop me a PM.
