Do you want a Mk3 BARREL or do you want a shortened lightweight Mk4 barrel for a Mk3 GUN? You can make a Mk3 or a Mk4 barrel by simply converting a readily available Mk2 barrel. I've done it several times. The conversion will be will be exact except in one very small detail that you probably wouldn't notice unless I told you.

Thanks for the response. I'm looking for a shortened spare barrel for my MK3. If I can convert one that might be the best way as MK3 barrels seem to be scarce. Can I have a MK1 barrel shortened or do I need a MK2? Does it matter? Thanks for the help!

What exactly do you want? If you want an exact replica then no, you can't use a Mk1 barrel. If you just want a lightened short barrel, then you can use a Mk1 barrel as per the Indian Mk1/3 gun barrel which used a shortened lightened Mk1 barrel. On the other hand, if you just want a couple of spare barrels to shoot the shxx out of, then just use a couple of standard barrels anyway

If you want an exact (?) replica of the barrel on the gun now, then you've got to use a certain type of Mk2 barrel that are in plentiful supply. Your Mk3 gun shortened barrel was developed from the Mk2 gun barrel

Machining down to length and diameter is a piece of pudding

John, I read your complaint, which for some unknown reason, you posted in another gun thread completely unrelated to your problem. I moved it to your help area.

In short, there's nothing wrong with the site, posting of links, or sending PM's......

Please read the answer to your complaint(s) here:

Why does this forum delete websites???

You are correct. Oddly enough, I clicked on the phone number and it took me to Don's website! I am gobsmacked as to how that worked!

    John ..

What you are seeing is smart link translation in action. Every web site has the ability to associate an English phrase with their web site link address. It allows people to put something more intelligible as a response, should their web site be referred to from another web site. Kind of like telephone "call answering ID".

So, you put in Don's web site link and we query that in real time, as you made your post. For whatever reason Don Bell has chosen to respond with his phone number as the ID, as opposed to something more logical like Omega Weapons Systems.

It was his choice and it is a strange way of identifying who his company is on the Internet, but I guess he wants it that way ..

Hope that helps explain how your link turned into his phone number....

    Regards,
    Doug
