    I don't Jim.
I look at the white background in many of the 'Metal pictures' and see that same green washed on the paper.
Using Microsoft pictures to tint/shade these pics, IMHO.

Here's a picture I did the same thing to as an experiment.... I just tinted it farther than most of theirs:

Here are actually pics from S-T-Bobs own past GB listings, Note the use of a light green background making and shiny metal take on the green hue.

I also believe the use of a green tint has been used on other freshly parked parts from time to time. More than likely applied then baked on:

In Doubt? Look thru the pictures of the current SG auction they have. Look how the white background has that (been messed with) green tint on it. The 'TINT' is white on some pics, green hue on others.

Note pics #9 and #15 have the tinted background and also show more of a green hue on the metal. Not as bad as they use to be. I've brought this to the attention of forum members on a few other occasions

I do see they've lightened up on the color tweaking in the last year or so.

    IMHO,

The "Authentic CMPicon" Inland sold for $970 today. Probably not that bad of a deal, being a CMP gun and including some "extras." - Bob

I have an I cut IO stock

that came on my SG NPM. Nice example of the cartouche still very sharp, and the IO w/bomb in sling well. The one on mine seems just a bit smaller and the belt isn't as wide. The IO is exactly the same size for both letters (they appear different on the CIQ) and they are of course a bit darker. I guess that stock could be genuine but it seems slightly off. Not a bad price for a handstamp: I'm about to part with considerably more for a 5.4 that is supposed to be an NRA gun as good or better.
