    Identifying 1903a3 Sporter Scope mount

Hello, I recently got a 1903a3 sporter in on a deal with some other rifles.. I'm not a big fan of sporterized rifles. Regardless I was looking to make a solid shooter out this recent acquisition.

However I can't figure out the scope mounts? Does anyone know what type of rings I would use? Or better yet does anyone know If I have a standard pattern and could use a newer one piece mount?

My measurements are not 100% perfect amazing.. I'm just lost.

    I appreciate any help.
    Thank you!

    Erik

standard Weaver bases, not very pretty, but they work...bolt wins the ugly bolt handle contest for sure.
burris Z rings are your best bet, Leupold base may fit. may not lol

Leupold base won't work with current hole spacing on front reciever ring. The rear hole on the front ring is drilled into the locking lug. Leupold base puts the rear hole in front ring ahead of locking lug, with the foward screw hole nearer the front edge. New Weaver bases are still available. Your current bases won't work with new rings unless you file the recoil slot square instead of it having the current rounded slots.

    FWIW,

    Emri

    Update.

The base shown in pictures was not weaver. As said.

I ordered this base after doing some measurements and it fit without issue.. (reused old screws with new base)

By putting small screws into big holes , would not the recoil of firing cause the bases to batter said screws till they broke ?
