    New Italian Rifle Forum!

    Yay!

Carcanos, yes. And Vetterlis, too. (They're so weird they're hard not to like.)

Have an poor little M38 carbine in pieces that'll get on the board soon.

    Greetings from Roma!

    Attachment 33473

Roma is, of course, my "bella figura" Fucile 91-41 parade rifle.

That's about the spiffiest Carcano I've ever seen. It looks like a mate to my AG42b.

I never could find the paper with my cavalry carbine, even at 25 yards. My rifle doesn't like Privi-Partisan ammo at all. I'm hoping that with proper sized bullets it will do better but it may be years before I get around to reloading for it.

I'm rather impressed with mine but it's not the average Carcano if I'm cyphering the markings correctly. The bullseye over crossed rifles marking shown in post #7 suggests it has an accuracy marked barrel. After cleaning who knows how many years of crud out of the bore and using handloads with .268'' bullets it will shoot nice round 1 3/8'' groups at 100yds.
Aragorn, why don't you invest in a box of Hornady 6.5x52 ammo thats factory loaded with .268'' bullets.
