    Nice looking carbine.

You hit the low number…………. These are pictures of one from the end of that block. The highest number the Carbine Club records show according to newsletter # 357 is 1,874,960. This one is 1,875,011. Last number assigned to that block was 1,875,039.

What do you all think on the S on the rear sight? There are no other markings on the right side or leaf.

It has an Inland barrel dated 8-43. The barrel looks to be original to the receiver, the rear sight and some other parts are probably not.

    John

My 1,829,XXX has a B-IP rear sight base with a different looking S - no serifs. The sight is offset to the left and the staking is just like HP has pictured above. It has an Underwood barrel stamped 8-43. - Bob

I'm thinking should be a RP, B-IP, or B-S'G' on the right side, and I dont know about the S with serif's.

Clean Rifle, has a Winchester highwood WRA GHD stock no cracks-Perfect, just a few handling marks. I have them all except the Big Boy (IP). Waiting and watching. I'll probably be selling this stock, I have a very nice S'G' Highwood tucked back in the safe.

Thanks Jim, My wife and I built that Bar out by the pool area about 7 or 8 years ago. We did it all by ourselves, and neither one of us drink....LOL. Well there have been a few Brewskies consumed, but only on Holidays and such, Mostly music from the Boom Box. My wife likes to load it up with what-nots and such, but if we have a party I hang my Rockola Clock in there.

Nice stock. It looks shiny. When you sell do you usually sell here or on a sales site? I'm interested in hearing a price if you ever get to that point of putting one on it.
