A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I'm fairly certain there is absolutely no way of doing it.

I am not sure that it is impossible, but it is close enough. If it were practical there would be a poot load imported, even if one at a time. Best approach is to just find one in the US. They are occasionally found in the $600 range and $700 is very doable. They are worth that much anyway IMO.

Been there done that going US > CA & investigated it for my cousin the other way. 300 or 350 tariff at the border / to the importer makes it even out.
Took close to a year to get all three rifles home. Got stalled at the border on the US side for unknown reasons ( 3 bolt actions no less)... bureaucratic twits...

Figures. As to coming over the border, when you go to Canadaicon, it's "welcome, enjoy yourself, have fun, spend some $" when you return to the US it's "what's this, who are you, why are you coming (back) to the US. ?"
