    Hardware question

I have acquired some nice blued harware on E-bay for my CMPicon stock. The butt swivel is supposedly a milled, unissued piece but it is a tad too small for the stock inlet for it and the holes don't line up. It has a Y in a circle stamp on the back. Could this be an A3 part? Thanks for you help. As soon as I get everything together I will post a photo.

When I fit milled swivels to GI stocks, the fit is even then not the best. Lots of gap. I think the airtime wood was inlet a little oversize to make it quick & dirty to fit a stock in the field.

Sad to say, I have a few, too.

    Stamped, Milled Butt Swivels

What's worse, none of the big company's give a sh!t, 'cause they have so many. How else are they going to get rid of them?

    Try Springfield Sporters.
    http://www.ssporters.com/parts/Springfield%201903.htm
The ones I got from them were correct as far as fitting into the stock and the holes lining up.
They seem to be USGI unissued.

Thanks all. I bought the piece, along with swivel screws, lower band and band spring, butt plate screws and butt swivel screws from a seller called robertm6921 on Ebay. I have sent him a message about it - we'll see what happens. The rest of the stuff looks good and is nicely blued - all sold as USGI unissued.

I believe the Y in a circle swivel was manufactured by Yale & Towne, Stamford, Conn during WW2

The Ebay seller says he has one left that does not have the Y stamp and will send it to me. He has ageed to pay for shipping and refund my return shipping cost. Good guy.
FYI Sarco is now selling "aftermarket" 03 upper bands on Ebay.
I still need a blued upper band, stacking swivel and lower band swivel. Don't want to take a chance with Sarco on any hardware.

I've had good luck with liberty tree collectibles, but they are on the spend side for their parts.
