    P08 captured rig

I just got this in a trade, with 1941 holster, tool, and 2 M/M mags, with capture papers, sn is low, no suffix..early byf41 production? First 1000, or 100,000?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I can't see anything but blue squares with a question mark.

1941 production started with the 42 code as used on the late 1939 and 1940 pistols, and started in the n letter suffix block. There was an overlap when the code was changed to byf. Production using the byf code went to letter suffix z, started over with no suffix and ended in the a suffix block. Your pistol was probably 100,000 to 110,000 depending on the serial number into 1941 production.

He is trying to use pics from another site. I pulled up the "properties" of the first one and it isn't a jpg or other format address. I got this.......

Looks like you have to be registered at the Luger site before you can view the images.
