Model 1935 peruvian mauser parts needed.

I just got a model 1935 peruvian mauser and im in the process of restoring it back to original condition. The previous owner thought it was a good idea to cover the stock and some of the metal parts on the stock in varnish. Im working on removing the varnish from the stock and metal parts and im going to refinish the stock with BLOicon.

The parts I need are a complete front sight and a cleaning rod. Ive spent many hours over the last couple of days searching for these parts, but I can`t find them eny were. Does anyone know were I might look to find these parts ?. I can probably find a cleaning rod from another rifle that would work, but its the complete front sight that I need the most.

Are you sure it's not a Modelo 1935 by Fabrique National? It may help your search to try looking under 'FN Modelo 1935' not Mauser as Mauser did not make the Modelo 1935. I have a complete rifle but no parts so sorry I cannot be of more help.

Give Springfield Sporters a call. They have piles of odd, hard to find stuff.

The rifle is an FN Modelo 1935 Peruvianicon Mauser

After lots of searching I was able to find the front sight protector, and I found that a cleaning rod from a VZ24 is an exact replacement for this rifle. I found a hand guard screw from another rifle that should also work. The parts are ordered and should be here sometime in the next week.

Hi, Hope your parts all fit and you get the rifle up and running. Mines in 7.62 Nato and is good fun to shoot.
