LSA .410 Trigger unique

Pictured is a trigger assembly off a LSA .410 (1931). It is old and not sure if it was the practise in 1930's. Any thoughts?

I have seen that before on a bsa .410 I dont know if it was factory or a smiths work but it was well made. looks far better than the standard lump of wood

I agree it is a very well done modification and I like it more than the wood plug.

Looks like one of the Cogswell and Harrison trigger guards they fitted to the SMLE sporters they were building in the 1950's. They were selling sporters in those days with a lopped off forestock and set up with a 5 rd. internal magazine to enhance the saleability of their product. I have one in my parts bin stripped off one of these sporter conversions many years ago.

The workmanship is deffinately better than the plates welded into the trigger guard that Lithgow put on those .410 conversions
