Custom built Mauser 30-06 with handloads at 200 yds!!!

I bought this rifle at a local pawn shop. K98kicon Mauser action and that is all I know about the custom work but man does it shoot! This group was done at 200 yds with my 150 grain handloads which were built up for another rifle.[IMG][/IMG]

The hole at 2 o'clock 2 inches away is the last sighting shot prior to shooting the final five shot group.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Looks like one of my rifles. A friend and I bought several Midway stock and barrel kits from Midway when they were selling them out cheap. One of them was a myrtle wood stock and a Barnett 2-2 1/2 contour 30-06 barrel almost the exact color of yours. All put together and a Leupold 3X9 Vari X II scope with a one piece base and a Timney trigger also from Midway with a ebony forearm tip. All in all a darn nice rig made out of a beater VZ24 from Big5 sporting goods store in Fresno for 59 bucks. One of my favorites to, mine will group like yours and any fliers are all my fault. The 30-06 is a work horse and in my opinion the best ever developed for overall work in North America, not much in the rest of the world that the 06 cant handle if you do your part.
