    Florida Carbine Find

Found an IBM Ser# 3934xxx in the used gun rack in with 5 other tired carbines. It appears to be completely original! 100% original finish. Clear crisp stampings on receiver. Machining marks still visable on undated, IBM marked, P proofed, short skirted barrel. ALL late features... T2 H in shield rear sight. Round AOB bolt. T4 (Reisch) wide joint slide. T2 unmarked, 4 weld barrel band. T4 stamped BE-B stamped trigger housing. T2 SI B stamped front sight. Original "C" tip sling. IS oiler. Low wood T3 unsanded SCB stock and handguard. All stock stampings are as clear as the day it was made. Only modification I can see is a polished feed ramp. Would anyone care to put an approximate value on this carbine for me? I saw 2 similar late guns on GB with BIN's of $2100 and $2500. However, they didn't appear as pristine as this one. Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Nice description, but we still need pics to be of real help. Otherwise we may be guessing.

Many times the feed ramps were polished at the factory.

Correction... Handguard 2 rivet LW-B... still IBM. Site won't let me upload pictures..to large! PM me and I'll send the pictures I took via email to anyone who'd like to view them. Also, all small parts that I can see are correctly marked for IBM too. I don't believe this rifle was ever issued unless the first guy liberated it. DCM??? Should I oil this gun and stock? It seems VERY dry. Would doing so affect value?

Wow, nice rifle. Am I seeing chisel stakes marks in front of the rear sight?

That IBM doesn't even look issued! Look at the crispness of the handguard wood and the CC. Very nice indeed!

Tenoc..... Great eyes! Definite chisel marks on receiver AND sight base left and right sides. Old proceedures died hard.
