    Belleau Wood 1903s

I thought it had been posted before but I can't find it. Does anyone have or know the serial number ranges of rifles the Marines had at Belleau Wood?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I'd be amazed if that information even existed today.

Certainly all low number '03's. Likely available in 1918, but not today.

One of the members of this forum had a block of serial numbers that had been issued to the Marines at Belleau Wood, he had been wanting to buy any rifles in that block,,,, I don't remember the range.

    Hello Randy …

You might want to try our Google CSE custom search engine located in the top right corner below the words "Advanced Search". It only searches our site using Google techniques and can be quite efficient. For example, in your case, type in the words Belleau Wood and see what happens ..

I checked and there are dozens of posts covering that topic…

    Regards,
    Doug

Thanks, I did try that. Turns out the discussion I had been looking for was on the CSPicon and the guy looking did post a response. By the way, I think I promised you pics of my A4, it's been a few months, next time I fire up the camera, I'll send some your way.

  9. Thank You to Randy A For This Useful Post:
