Here's one of the rifles that I purchased this month. I looked at a lot of Mausers and settled on this one. It's a Luftwaffe rifle and has the "L" on the buttstock. The only thing that isn't matching is the bolt assembly.

The sling appears to be original also. Sorry for so many pics!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Thanks for the great pics ...

    Beautiful looking piece... congratulations ...

These non-capture original K98kicon's are getting harder and harder to find ...

I'm new here and this is my second post. I really like this rifle, and I've had it for over 10 years until recently. WRA M-1, 1,200,000 serial range, WB cartouche.

Great looking Winchester - does this mean you no longer have it?

After 10 years, I wanted to get back into SMLEs. Since I haven't won the lottery, it had to go.

Just found another bayonet to add to the collection. A 1902 Pattern 1888 Mk III made by Wilkerson. Per the text book only Enfield made Mk III's so either this Wilkerson and my Sanderson Mk III are Mk II upgrades or perhaps there were some made by other factories. Sorry for the bad quality but you can kind of make out the marks.
