    Sten Magazine

    Dear all

Just fresh back from the War & Peace Show at Beltring (superb as always) with a Sten Mk2 clutched in my sweaty fist. It's E & Co produced and I know from a previous thread on this forum what that means but the magazine is stamped with an 'S 18'. I've found a source on the web that says it's the maker's mark of 'Bratt Colbran Ltd of Lancelot Road, Wembley, Middlesex.' Elsewhere however, I've seen their number listed as 'S 159'. Can any of the experts out there clarify please?

    Regards

    Chris

S18 is Bratt and Colbran. S159 is someone totally different. Don't forget that the E&Co is the maker of the magazine housing and not the assembler of the gun. You can only identify that by the serial number

    Thanks Peter. Much appreciated.

Are you still firmly ensconced at WTC? Did the worrying development in May not surface?

    Regards

    Chris
