Can anyone tell me what type of scope mount fit these holes on the receiver?

I know, I know, a "clever" guy before me drilled right thought this piece of art (right through the Portuguese crest). I'm wondering what type of scope mount these holes are for?

Also any meaning of the letter F on the safety?

Probably a standard Weaver base. Is it #61 and #62? I'm not sure. Just single blocks and civilian in manufacture. These guns came to Canadaicon by the dozen in the grease in about 1978 and every second one was done like that for hunting.

Some bubbafacations are more painfull than others. This particular one I find to be analogous to a sharp stick in the eye.Or perhaps a dull stick in the eye. I think Gunny is on the right track covering the holes. To painful to view.

I'm sorry to hurt your eyes...

I'm taking the K98icon to the range this coming Sunday to see how it shoots.
