A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. The Soviets gave away all sorts of old weapons to their allies. RC German K98icon's are among those sent to Vietnam.

Viet Nam had piles of Frenchicon capture guns, Chinese purchase and lastly Russianicon capture guns. All the K98icon's I saw were re-parked and looked black. This thing looks like the owner had it re-parked in the US. Looks right to me.

WOW, what a price! I'd say at least double what it is worth, even in that nice a condition.
Yes, the papers look good. I've seen most of that paper work, but never all togather on one rifle. There is only one (1) form missing, that everyone got - the Viet Namese export form. That was mailed to the individual after he left country.
That rifle is Very unusual for an RC. All the parts are period correct for the date of the rifle.
I do not like the phosfate looking finish though. The ruskies did not do that type of refinish. They dip blued the metal. At least in 25 years of lookiing at RCs I've never seen one that if refinished (not all were), was other than dip blued.
