    Enfield Muzzle Covers

Can any one here tell me if these Enfield muzzle covers are actual military issue or not, and if so, were they used in WW I, WW II or both? Peter?

    Thanks,

    Gary

    Hi
I have never seen this type of cover on Britishicon service Enfields rifles on issue during WW1 or WW2, and would expect it to have broad arrow or other markings if military issue. Perhaps you should put the picture on the Vintage Military Gear forum someone on there might recognise it

Those don't look like the Enfield muzzle covers I've seen. I still have plenty of Australianicon ones in stock.

    Brian,

Do you know if any of those Aussie muzzle covers are war dated or are they post war? Liiking for a war dated cover for my '44 dated Lithgow.

I've never seen those before. Only action covers. Never seen them in any field pics either. I think they're someone's dream.
    Regards, Jim

If your after a cover for the SMLE, then you will need to look on their SMLE page, they have them listed for $9.99 USD. They are Australianicon and dated 1952

Yes, saw those on the web site. I'm looking for a war dated cover though, not post war.

All of the ones I have left are 1952-53 like the ones in the picture above. I had quite a few 1944-45 dated ones but all are long gone.

1952 dated muzzle covers are war dated --- Korean War dated.
