    Bolt Lock

    Stupid question here...

I recently bought a M1903 A3 Smith Corona and when I open the bolt, it just slides out. Do I need to pick up a bolt lock? Is a piece missing? Sorry for the noob question. Here are some pics!

Your rifle is missing the magazine cutoff, cutoff spindle, plunger, spring, and screw. If you have trouble finding these parts, please e-mail and I'll provide you the names of a couple of sources.

Some of your other parts are not SC. If you are going for a complete restoration you may wish to change those as well. Its not essential however.
