Smile I found a treasure! It's in "Jail" for a 10 day wait.

I walked into the local gunshop today, only to find my friend Rod (a retired CHP) had sold it and abruptly moved to Hawaii to open a diving business. I was surprised since I had just seen Rod a week before the sale, and he never mentioned the pending move or sale.

The new owner had most of Ron's stock, but added a few things of his own. Well, I ran across a beautiful Inland, 10-43 Inland barrel, Type I sight (looks original, unmarked except for "S" on left side, with circular crimps on both sides for the pin), Type IB band (original with 3 welds), high wood oval cut stock with no band shadow, crossed cannons and IO in sling well. Condition is excellent.... Wee negotiated a part trade part cash deal. It's now mine, and being DROSed on a 10 day Kalidfornia wait. I could wet myself like a happy puppy!

It was marked at an unbelievable price (details disclosed later), so I did not want to tear it apart there, but sufice to say, even if it was a restoration and not original, I still got it for a steal. When I pick it up[, I will do a picture flood and break it down.

I forgot to mention the serial number: 3002430: So far these Things it has seem correct:
Barrel -43 dated, it might be 10-43, but I would have to check again.
Type II High wood stock with Crossed Cannons and "OI"
Butt plate -Inland early diamond pattern
Hand Guard - Type II matches finish of stock. I'll have to check the stamps when I get it.
    Type I sight - unmarked
Type IA band - I think unmarked
    Type IIA mag catch
    Type III safety - unmarked
Bolt - flat (I'll check stamps)
SLIDE - TYPE IV (I'll check stamps)

So, exterior is apparently correct. If I see a dogleg hammer when I disassemble it, I will faint!

Nope, I tried not to get too excited since I did not want the price to go up. You'll understand after I disclose full details AFTER I pick it up!

Imarangemaster, this sounds like a good gun store to visit. Would you be willing to disclose its location in Ca?
