    Sellier and Bellot Club Ammo

Another day at the range and as usual my son took his CZ452 .22 and was using various brands of .22 ammo that I bought him for his birthday.

Was suprised how well S&B Club grouped.

We were shooting at 100 yards and it shot well under 1 inch. Three of the five shots enlarged the original hole slightly. Is this normal for this ammo?

Generally we shoot the cheapest ammo available as super accuracy is never that important.

Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

One suggestion: Buy all of that lot number that you can procure! It never fails that the next batch will not be any good in your rifle if the lot # is even a little different. Or maybe it's just me...

Probably the wise thing to do as I know Lapua makes .22 and then tests for accuracy and catagorizes/prices it accordingly. I will go to the gun shop later this week and see what they have left.

Here in Franceicon the standard S&B .22 tends to be the most popular round.
They do a club comp round in a nickel case.
The sporting goods store Decathlon here in France sold the S&B club
under their own brand, I managed to buy a large quantity.

I usually buy Lapua in 500 round tins.
With the higher quality Lapua such as Midas there are 2
diameters of bullet, for the slack / tight barrels.

As a mould is used to produce the bullet its wares and thus
changes the the dynamics of the finished round.
This is why you buy your .22 with the same batch No.
Real serious .22 comp shooters have their arms tested with
different batches and then buy tens of thousands of
    rounds at a time.
