    Turkish(?) Remington Rolling Block.

This is the third and last rifle in a collection that was supposedly brought back from Saudi Arabia in 1958. The other two you guys have seen, the Gras and the Martini Muscat. This is the first RRB I've owned, and it seems to be devoid of any markings. The label taped on the buttstock says 'Turkishicon' and lists a serial number, though I dont see how that was determined, as there does not appear to be one! Anyway, here are some pics. Sudan action, possibly?

Well, found out how the serial number was determined. Took the buttstock off today, and the original owner must have to at some point, because right there on the side of the upper and lower tangs were the serial number C416*.
Matches the number listed on the label.

    Turkish(?) Remington Rolling Block.

How long is the barrel? It looks like it was made from M1841 rifle parts. There was an article in Man At Arms magazine on them a number of years ago. They were conversions of muzzleloaders.
