Brian Dick was at Knob Creek

It was good to see Brian at the semi-annual Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot. He was the only dealer with decent Lee Enfields. The big suprise was he also had some Enfield .38s and a very nice civilian Adams .450 revolver along with a Webley .22 caliber revolver (with cylinder) conversion unit.

It is not a show that one should go to for collectible firearms at decent prices. A broken and poorly fixed stock Lee Navy rifle at $1000 seems high to me. I did find a pair of Boys Anti Tank Rifle headspace gauges.

The Boys CHS gauges are interesting because unlike anything else that HC Boys touched, the gauges were simple. 1.000" GO and 1.010" NO-GO from the face of the belt to end of the case.

He does seem to have some nice Enfields

I expect that the complete Webley Mk6 (?) sub calibre adaptor was snapped up smartish!

Sorry I had to miss this year. Family trumps the hobby!
Missed seeing Brian, Troy and and a few others.
Perhaps the Show of Shows in February 2013 .
Knob Creek is always a great time.

I sold one Albion Motors Enfield revolver and a reciprocal sale yesterday morning of a ROF(F) No.4Mk.1 rifle, to the same guy! I've still got the .22 Webley Mk.6 conversion unit and No.5Mk.1 grenade launcher. I always enjoy the show even though it's a grueling affair. I think the economy has caught up to many folks though. It certainly has me among other things!

Oh sure, everyone tells Brian how rare the No5 grenade laugher is just before I am going to send a PM asking how much....LOL

As a Canadianicon I speak for so many when I say it would be so nice to be able to attend a good US show and be able to literally take our purchases and just drive home without the hassle of export permits etc.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

You can: you just need that compartment under the back seat, bribe money, memory eraser and contact in the BATFE who can erase guns from records so sellers don't get into trouble. Easy!!!

When Brian showed it to me and told me the price, I was very tempted to hand him the cash. The only reason I left my money in my pocket is that I have a meeting / golf trip in a couple of weeks in Augusta, GA which is only 45 minutes from Brian, so I plan on making a road trip to see him and will be taking a pocket full of cash. I lost out on the No4 Trials and the Savage No4 Chinese Lend Lease, so I do not plan on leaving without something, so if any of you want the No5 Grenade Launcher, you better get it before I get down there!!
