Revisit WRA 1,030,621 Memorial Day 2012

Really getting the itch to shoot this one..........
Some of you may recall how I tried to document with pictures this carbine as received, as I broke it down and also trying to detail the wear marks. The last page in the link gets you to my Photobucket album. If you start looking at the back of the album and then work your way to the front page, you'll see it from the time I received it, ID'd it and cleaned it.
I feel very lucky to be the current owner of this one!

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Thanks for sharing your early WRA. That is a great lay out of photos. They make me want to get mine out of the safe and check it. Mine is 1,016,---. I have not looked at it for a while. But I do remember it had the same rear sight as yours. I know it had the flat type 3 extractor, but I don't know if it had the long stem or not. Most of the parts in mine are also unmarked. The Carbine Club though mine was to late to have all those unmarked parts in 95. But that is the way I got it and I will not change any parts as long as I own it. I will look at it next week. Thanks again

I passed along my picture file with some questions to Marty at the CC.
But never heard back from him.
I only have a few items left to fill out on the CC data sheet. Some that I didn't quite know how to fill out were part of my questions.
In this E-mail I also posted a link to the photo album and asked if I needed any other particular pictures.
Must have caught him at a bad time as I had no reply.
I will finish that up this coming week and pass it in, filled out the best I can do.
I also typed up a 'Observation Letter'. So the Data Sheet, letter and the link to the pictures will get mailed out this coming week.

    kar66,
I would love to see yours.
When you get a chance could you pull it and take some pictures?

    Thx,
    Charlie-painter777
