    Not sure this will help much. I have 2 later Standard Product's both with Underwood barrels dated 3-44 P proof marks 4" from end of muzzle 2236704 and 2238359.

    My barrel is marked 10-43. It's got the flat bolt and same op slide as yours too. I think. And yeah, my wood is lighter than some. Not as light as yours, but has a lighter hew to it. I wonder if it was their finishing process or if the wood was just lighter to begin with. Is the trigger housing stamped/braized?

    The 2,143,800 is really close to your (22,000 earlier) so maybe 12-43 or early 1-44 for mine

    May be a Type IV stock with the long barrel channel.
    Will be curious if it has the extra cut for recoil plate support.
    Nice looking Birch stock.

    They weren't pumping that many out. Standard Products only made 4% of the carbines. Where as Inland made about 43% of the carbines.
