    just picked up an f.n.93

    bought at estate sale for $50, needs some parts, rear sight front barrel band buts looks pretty good otherwise, question is about date on receiver below ovieno(sic), is 1932 correct? i had read they stopped in '28 or '29. is this still a 93? it looks like 7mm,great bore by the way. any idea on parts avail? thanx, great knowledge here.

    Try Numrich for parts, but the condition of what you receive is altogether random. By 1933 I believe that production was quite low. Getting to the point of "parts clean up" at Oviedo.

    My Spanish '93 rifle is 1927 dated. Bit of a mixmaster, and has wretched bedding. However, it shot well until I attempted to correct the sloppy fit in the stock. Now that the tang isn't trying to split the inletting at the wrist the groups aren't nearly as good.
