A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Ding, ding, ding.......we have a winner!
Only correction is that I think the 11mm Vickers was actually an 11mm Gras clone, not a Mauser.

Ummm, dang. jonnyc is correct about the Gras origins. Don't know from what crossed neurons "Mauser" came.

I really, really, really need some of those clips! And some other parts to get the rifle running again. But I won't spoil the fun.

jmoore, where is ding, ding ding ? was your rifle modified for the 1932N cartridge with the N stamp on top ? I have seen some, I think that was crap about them being modified to straight pull.

Oh, my "little" project rifle may be the sorriest looking example out there. Buttstock looks set up for Pygmies. The butt is shortened from the front end, no less. Can't remember if the barrel is "N" marked or not. Have been looking for a mixmaster donor rifle with a good bore to supply the common parts. Have photos and drawings of the missing small front end bits.
