I use a Tipton Best and to me it is all I need. I don't do repairs as I have a couple of friends that have well equipped machine shops so the Tipton works for me.

Does a good job of holding everything from a Cooey 39 to a AR with no problems.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

I have a Tipton myself and it's never let me down, plus, they seem to be recommended by most people that have a gun vise that I know!
