Chinese ID and barrel replacement question

    Hey all.

Been a while since I've been able to play with my rifles, but I am finally taking time to tear into a more recently acquired T-56.

Near as I can tell, it falls into the "mid" category by the 56 ID sticky. (thank you very much)

There seem to be anomalies, as stated there may be. Here are some pics.Attachment 39020

It also has the one piece gas piston tube as well as a milled trigger group.

The trouble is that the chamber seems to be shot out, necessitating a barrel change. The gun has trouble cycling steel case ammo, although brass case ammo seems to cycle ok.

BOTH brass and steel cases are splitting in an identical manner upon firing. Every case, every shot.

My question is, where can I get a good barrel for replacement and what do I have to look forward to when changing them out?

This is my second 56. My first was a fine, dependable rifle. I love these things.

    Thanks for any info!
