    Nambu Type Firing Pin

    Hey!
The bugger just broke on me. Mine is a8mm Type 14 Nambu Nagoya Arsenal Date code 19.2.
Fired about 20 rds. and it shot great with original Midway ammo. Bought all the gear to reload my own from Huntington (RCBS) and went out with mine loads and nothing (No mark on the primer). Did a take down and the tip of the firing pin is broke off. ANY LEADS ON WHERE I CAN GET A NEW ONE?? Sarco is sold out.
    Thanks,
Carl L. Please contact me via my email <CLeising1@Comcast.net>

    Nambu parts

I would assume you have looked at Gun Parts, I have one with a cracked locking block. Gun parts lists it but it is currently unavailable, I'm taking a stab a building one from scratch, the first one I made didn't work. Getting measurements from a broken part is kind of tricky and I removed to much metal from a critical surface. I'm building the next one with a view towards hand fitting and filing to maybe get it right.

These foring pins break with some regularity. Retipping usually isn't all that difficult. A drill bit shank of the appropriate size works well.
